Judge Andrew (Andy) Jackson VI was raised in Maryville, TN. Judge Jackson graduated The University of Tennessee in 1978 with High Honors and was a Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated UT Law School in 1981 with Honors. Judge Jackson was in private practice from 1982-1985 and served in the Knox County D.A. Office from 1985-2006. Judge Jackson was elected to the Knox County General Sessions as Judge 2006.

Judge Jackson is a frequent speaker at schools and community groups on President Andrew Jackson and his experiences as a lawyer/judge. He is married of 20 years to his wife, Janet, and has two daughters, Rachel and Rebekah. They live in the Solway Community and are members of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church.
